Verify the installed interfaces
Check the foundation, anchoring, pipe connections, supports, power, air, drains, vents and signal wiring against the approved design. Confirm access for operation and maintenance. Site changes should be reviewed and incorporated into drawings before production, particularly where they affect pressure loss, cleaning or isolation.
Confirm utilities under load
Measure the supply at the skid during representative operation, not only while the equipment is idle. Review air quality, dynamic pressure, receiver capacity and any heating or cleaning utilities. If a utility is below the agreed basis, record it before assessing the skid against its performance commitment.
Introduce product in a controlled sequence
Qualified personnel should follow the approved commissioning procedure. Functional and protection checks precede product operation. During product trials, record temperature, composition, cycle times, flow and any relevant quality measurement. Include normal stops and agreed abnormal process conditions without improvising safety tests.
Handover with an operating baseline
Retain the accepted settings, software version, measured performance and unresolved items. Train operators and maintenance personnel on the actual installed configuration, including single-vessel fallback if provided. Remote support can assist this process where the scope allows, but it does not remove the site responsibility for safe installation and local acceptance.
General engineering guidance. Numerical examples are illustrative; project specifications and acceptance criteria are agreed for the actual duty.
