Technical questions, answered

Clear answers to the questions that matter when comparing a new transfer principle.

System selection & operation.

Is this an air-operated diaphragm pump?

No. SINOSEN uses a pressure-vessel transfer system. Compressed air acts on the liquid in the vessel; an automated valve sequence controls filling and discharge. It is also different from pneumatic conveying of dry powders.

Does “modular” mean no work is needed on site?

The skid is preassembled and factory-tested to reduce site assembly and tuning. The site still provides the foundation, product pipes, power, compressed air, vent arrangement and agreed control interfaces. Local checks and commissioning acceptance remain necessary.

Can it replace every gear or rotary lobe pump?

Replacement is application-specific. We check viscosity at operating temperature, solids, air compatibility, flow stability, pressure drop, hygiene and total compressed-air cost. Metering duties, oxygen-sensitive products and hazardous fluids need separate review.

Is the system maintenance-free?

It removes the rotating pump element and its shaft-seal maintenance. Valves, seats, instruments, filters, pressure protection and the vessel still require planned inspection and service.

Is high-Brix massecuite recommended?

High-Brix massecuite is not a standard recommended duty. Sugar magma and massecuite are not interchangeable selection terms. Provide viscosity, temperature, Brix and crystal content before a suitability decision.

Does a dual-vessel system guarantee constant flow?

Alternating vessels can support continuous feeding and reduce transfer interruptions. Instantaneous outlet flow is not automatically constant. Valve transitions, air supply, pipeline resistance and receiver design must be evaluated for the required flow profile.

What does 1.0 MPa mean in the source specification?

It is a design reference for a vessel configuration, not a universal operating pressure or a guaranteed delivery pressure. Each project needs an approved vessel rating and operating envelope appropriate to the destination and duty.

Will the pipeline be completely empty after every cycle?

Line clearance depends on the route, low points, product rheology and the engineered end-of-cycle sequence. We define the required residual product and cleaning approach during design; universal complete emptying is not assumed.
